Laura Andreson Signed Yellow Glazed Midcentury California Studio Pottery Vase
Located in Studio City, CA
A wonderfully crafted and beautifully glazed vase by renowned American California master potter Laura Andreson. Gorgeous in its Mid-Century Modern design and color - a scarce and beautiful yellow glaze.
Signed on the base by Andreson.
A quite special and rare work when she just began to work in porcelain. Would be a great addition to any Mid-century ceramics/ pottery collection or a very eye-catching stand-alone accent work in about any setting. This piece has a fantastic heft and feel to it.

Pair of Chinese Yellow Glazed Lingzhi Mushroom Form Vases, Late Qing Dynasty
Located in Austin, TX
A fanciful pair of Chinese late Qing Dynasty yellow glazed porcelain vases in the form of lingzhi, circa 1900.
The tall vases centered around a large yellow glazed cylindrical mushroom stalk forming the body of the vase, depicting either a trumpet mushroom or a stylized lingzhi. The mouth is everted and shaped like the CAP of the fungus, complete with gills. Several smaller lingzhi, glazed yellow with mushroom brown heads, are sculpted to the outside of the body. The heads sculpted as ruyi.
