Meeting Vase by Sophie Vaidie

About the Item

Meeting Vase by Sophie Vaidie One Of A Kind. Dimensions: Ø 25 x H 39 cm. Materials: Beige stoneware with beige glaze. In the beginning, there was a need to make, with the hands, the touch, the senses. Then came the desire to create and imagine objects to accompany everyday life through a timeless and poetic dimension. My relationship with clay began more than 20 years ago. It was a long inner journey before I imagined devoting myself completely to it. My work is first of all a constant search of balance and a capacity for renewal. It is the result of formal research, of the harmonious relationship between the curve and the line. The interaction between the shape and the space it draws around it. The right proportions, the detail of a curve or a line are the common threads of my creations. Then comes the technique. It allows me to inscribe the shape in the stoneware. My training was enriched with very different ceramists, allowing me to expand my knowledge and consciously choose my way of creation. My creativity is nourished by my travels, my inner reflections, my close landscape but also my work as an interior designer and most of all the encounters made throughout my journey.
