Mid-20th century Modern italian design colorful glazed blue murano glass vase By: Alfredo Barbini (in the style of), Sergio Costantini (in the style of) Material: glass, art glass, Murano glass Technique: cast, glazed Date: mid-20th century, circa 1960 Style: Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, Modern Place of origin: Italy Mid-century Murano Glass Vase, Art Glass. Origin Italy, circa 1960. Production data is not available but is very much in the Murano style. More specifically, the craftsmanship in this piece can I only find comparable to the work of Alfredo Barbini (1912-2007) or Sergio Costantini. The vase has a flattened, rounded shape with an oval opening. Murano glass is produced on the island of Murano, Venice Italy. It features a blue base with abstract designs in red, yellow and various colors that make it visually beautiful. The colors are used and mixed in a particular way, making it a unique piece of design. The piece has no marks, bumps or scratches on the glass. It has an excellent state of preservation.
