About the Item
Sculptural vase designed by Davide Dona signed on the bottom. Handmade faceted green Murano glass. Italy, 1970s.
Davide Dona’ started to learn the glassmaking first working in a paperweight furnace, then from 1998 in his father company.
His foremost influence was the maestro ‘Nane’ Ferro, one of the best maestro in the 1960s. In the 1970s he opened his own furnace.
In 2001-2002 he attended the international courses in San Servolo island as Davide Salvadore’s first assistant and Pino Signoretto’s assistant. Later, he worked with the school Abate Zanetti and the is specialized in modern mirror and carved vases, but his craft ranges from sculptures to glasses.
Every item LA Studio offers is checked by our team of 10 craftsmen in our in-house workshop. Special restoration or reupholstery requests can be done. Lighting can be electrified to the required voltage.
