Modernist Sculptural Muted Jade Glazed Ceramic Vase with Frog Motif in Relief

About the Item

This sophisticated and whimsical modernist ceramic vase was realized in Indonesia during the latter half 20th century. It features a sculptural undulating Silhouette with a protuberant body that dramatically narrows at the neck before flaring to its circular mouth. The piece has been glazed in a subtle muted jade hue, and offers a stylized frog form laying on its stomach- in vivid three dimensional relief- against the body of the vase. With its beautiful craftsmanship, fastidious attention to detail, and refined color palate, this piece would be a winning addition to any interior regardless of the style of decor, blending perfectly with everything from Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It is in excellent vintage condition. Dimensions: Height: 6" x Diameter: 3.5" Indonesia, 20th century.
