Monumental 19th Century Choisy-le-Roi Art Nouveau Vase, Artist Signed

About the Item

This is an extraordinary French monumental porcelain vase which is the embodiment of Art Nouveau decoration. Hand-painted polychrome enamels depicting a semi-nude female figure in a flowing transparent gown, encircles the vase with the reverse featuring a single elegant butterfly. The neck is decorated with a contrasting, almost Morris-like enamel motif. The vase is signed on the base "H. Boulenger et Cie" France, Choisy-le-Roi.
