About the Item
Beautiful and elegant, vintage Murano hand blown ruby red and clear glass with gold grape decoration, Italian art glass footed flower vase. The piece is documented to the Arte Vetraria Muranese (A.Ve.M.) company, and has an original label underneath. The label, in blue and silver, reads “Avem - Made In Italy - Murano”. The vase is created with a rich red color on the body, with dimpled indented pattern along the main body. This technique can also be seen in very early Venini pieces, attributed to Vittorio Zecchin (from my research). The neck has a gold leaf rigaree decoration, and the shoulders of the vase have 2 bunches of grapes draped over and attached to the sides. They are filled with gold leaf. Would make a great display piece on any vanity, desk of coffee table. Fill it with fresh flowers. You will be able to showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. Mid-century era. Measures: 10 1/2” tall x 5 3/4” across the grapes x 3 1/2” wide.
