About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown deep red, silver flecks, controlled bubbles Italian art glass flower vase. Created in the manner of the Barovier e Toso and Arte Vetraria Muranese (Avem) companies. The piece has a crimped scalloped rim with an applied foot. It is profusely covered in silver leaf in between the red and clear outside glass layers. It also has a heavy iridescent surface, the body is ribbed, and made with very thick glass. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or console table. Fill it with flowers or just display it as an art piece in any room. Mid-century era. Measures 11 1/4" tall x 8" across the top x 4 1/2" wide.
