Nils Thorsson (1898–1975) was a Swedish-Danish ceramist and artistic director at Royal Copenhagen. He was hired at a young age and played a central role in the design of stoneware at both Royal Copenhagen and Aluminia.
Thorsson is best known for his Baca and Tenera series, which combine functionality with artistic decoration. His designs are characterized by graphic patterns, organic shapes, and deep glazes in earthy tones. He was a key figure in the development of Danish ceramics and was recognized both nationally and internationally.
Thorsson's work remains highly sought after by collectors and has had a significant influence on modern ceramics.
