About the Item

A heavy bubbled glass art piece with a beautiful orange to blue gradient. Details are unknown, but the glass is similar to the bubbled glass used in IGLU (1973), PUTELI (1975) and PIENNAR (1975). This glass was inspired by the bubbled glass he saw in Mexico after returning from a four-month study tour of Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda after winning the 1970 Lunning Prize. It is estimated that the design was probably made around 1973-75. Signed 'Oiva Toikka Nuutajärvi Notsjö'.
