About the Item

This pair of French Art Deco marbled cased glass vases, crafted circa 1930s, showcases the refined artistry of the period. Moulded into a smooth, undulating baluster form, each vase is made using the cased glass technique, with two distinct layers of glass. The exterior layer features a marbled effect, likely created using the pâte de verre marmoreen method. The glass displays a rich blend of maroon and soft purple tones, contrasted by striking deep red accents. A matte, acid-etched frosted finish diffuses the light, emphasizing the depth of color and texture. Though unsigned, these vases are attributed to Clichy, a celebrated French glassmaker known for its innovative decorative glass techniques. Dimensions (each vase): Height: 27 cm Diameter: 13 cm Both vases remain in good condition for their age and use, with minor chips on the inner rim. Please refer to the images for further details.
