Pair of American Art Deco Chrome Four-Tube Budholders by Gerth & Gerth for Chase

$425per set

About

This pair of American Art Deco four-tube budholders were designed by Ruth and William Gerth for the Chase Brass and Copper Company Inc. of Waterbury, Connecticut. The design features a central chrome tube attached to which are three tubes of varying lengths at varying heights and mounted to a circular four stepped base. This design first appeared in the Chase Giftware catalog of 1933 where it continued to be featured for the next eight years until 1940 when it was replaced by a model with a bakelite collar. These two examples of the earlier design are in near mint condition and both are marked to the underside of the base with the Chase centaur logo.
