Pair of Art Nouveau Fairy Vases with Original Glass Liners, English, c. 1900

About the Item

A charming pair of Art Nouveau vases featuring a pair of fairies. One of the fairies calls out to her partner, who listens from the other vase. The reverse of the vases each has a daisy to the back. The vases have elegant flowing art nouveau lines and handles, and flare out to a wide base. They are made of spelter, weighted in the base and with bronze patination. Each vase retains it original hand-blown glass liner. To the base of of one of the vases are some old dealer marks. They make a charming pair with a beautiful dynamic between the two fairies, and very much capture the imaginative spirit of the era. Please note the size quoted is the two vases side by side - they are each 24.5cm W x 14cm W x 8.3cm D
