A pair of Chinoiserie style French Porcelain Vases

About the Item

A pair of antique French porcelain vases in the Chinoiserie style dating from the mid nineteenth century. The vases are painted in a celadon green with a pagoda in the center and a royal couple courting on the first level of the pagoda. At the bottom, royal courtiers are chatting and birds are flying among the flowers and the greenery. If you look closely you will see that birds, flowers, people and parts of the pagoda are in relief . All hand painted and encrusted, there is so much work in these magnificent pair of vases.
