About the Item

A striking and most unique pair of French 19th century Neo-Classical st. patinated bronze, ormolu and glass urns. Each urn is raised by a square base with a fine mottled wrap around foliate ormolu band and elegant central tied berried laurel wreath centering the support. Above the beautiful reeded ormolu socle shaped pedestal support in a wonderful satin and burnished finish are lovely patinated bronze acanthus leaves with striking scrolled fluted handles at each side with richly chased rams heads. Above is the remarkable lightly curved rose colored body with lovely fluted designs and an elegant top wrap around ormolu band at the rim with a fine Coeur de Rai designs.
