About the Item
A Pair of French Hand-Cut White Opaline Crystal Pedestal Vases from the 2nd half of 1800s, Attributed to Baccarat. With their translucent porcelain-like appearance these vases consist of four distinct sections seamlessly pieced together, they form a harmonious whole. The gorgeous subtle geometric gilt embellishments are truly beautiful. The captivating fluted tops, with delicate ruffles cascading along the edges. Resting on cubed plinths, the vases find stability through a meticulously designed plinth top and a graceful step at the bottom. The unusual feature of these is that they are made in multiple sections. This is very rare to find and each piece is intact after over 100 years.
