Pair of Japanese Cloisonne Goldstone Enamel Double Gourd Dragon Vases

About the Item

A pair of rare large Japanese, late Meiji era, double gourd enamel vases. Each ware is enameled with polychrome bands and panels with dragon, floral, foliage, and foliate scroll ornaments made in the Cloisonne technique. The neck and the base are covered with polychrome floral and foliage patterns made in the same technique. The ground of the vase is inlaid with Goldstone. Unmarked.
