Pair of Large Delft Covered Vases

About the Item

Molded with light ribbing, the covers domed with inverted acorn knops, and painted with leaping stag in quatrefoil cartouche, alternating with bird on a fence with flowering tree nearby, in diamond-shaped cartouches, all in a band at the waist, on rocaille grounds, with foliate lambrequin borders. Marked CF.

Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. One lid with flaking to glaze on finnial, as well as losses of glaze also to lid rim. Losses to glaze on both lids. Overall Fair Condition, No Cracks, but losses of glaze overall (in particularly to the lids).
