About the Item
A beautiful pair of patinated bronze Bacchanal vases.
The vases are modeled with masks depicting chimeric ibexes, flanked by laurel garlands, above which are finely carved reliefs of young Cherubs running. Each vase stands on a fluted round marble base edged with ormolu slabs. German, early 20th Century.
Found at an Estate Sale in Nuremberg, Germany.
