About the Item

Elegant pair of handblown glass pieces from the “Abstracta” series, designed by Bengt Orup for Johansfors Glasbruk, Sweden, circa 1960s. The set includes a rounded vase with a narrow neck and a deep bowl form, both showcasing Orup’s masterful sense of color balance and fluid form. Each piece features dynamic swirls of cobalt blue, teal, and green, with a soft internal texture that gives depth and a painterly quality to the glass. Both pieces are signed “Orup, Johansfors”, and the bowl retains its original Johansfors paper label. Dimensions: Vase: H 11 cm (4.3 in) × W 12 cm (4.7 in) Bowl: H 10 cm (3.9 in) × W 14 cm (5.5 in)
