Peter Ilsley Crystalline Glazed Studio Pottery Porcelain Bottle Vase
About the Item
A stunning and exceptional studio pottery crystalline glazed porcelain bottle vase signed AH to the base and dated 1986. The vase is finely potted standing on a narrow unglazed round base with a round bulbous shaped body and with a tall slender neck with small round top. The body of the vase is decorated with grey lustre roundels with yellow outline set against a light brown and grey mottled ground. The patterning is exquisite and extends to the neck of the vase. The vase has a small impressed roundel containing marks B 2 K with initials AH impressed alongside and a painted mark which appears to read 86 and assume that this related to 1986. We have been unable to find anything quite as finely made as this or identify the maker.
Provenance: from the collection of a private gentleman and originating from the UK art market.
