About the Item

A pair of rare antique Japanese, early Meiji era, enamel over gilt copper vases. Each vase has a lobbed shape. The exteriors of the wares are adorned with polychrome enamel panels and medallions representing symmetrical designs of dragons, and Phoenix birds surrounded by floral, foliage, and foliate scroll ornaments made in the Cloisonne technique. The necks and the bases are decorated with floral and foliage motifs made in the same technique. Unmarked. Circa:1890 Antique and Vintage Asian Collectibles, Oriental Enamel Vases, Home Decor And Collectibles. Dimensions: Each H 18 1/2 in. All measurements are approximate. Condition Overall good vintage condition. Signs of wear and age. Has some stains and scuffs. Has chips and cracks. Refer to photos.
