About the Item

Vintage art glass bud vase features multicolored fused glass decor with iridescent finish. Strong, graphic abstract pattern flows along the lines of minimally shaped cylindrical vase, and lightly textured fused glass elements add visual interest, enriching the minimal color palette. The design is rooted in expressive Art Deco and Art Nouveau glass tradition, but shows Modernist sensibility in the shape and color choices. The vase is signed and dated by the artist on the bottom. Rick Hunter is an established glass artist, based in California; his studio is located east of Los Angeles at the base of the San Gabriel mountains. Hunter attended California State University, studying ceramics and glass blowing and graduating with Master's Degree in Glass Blowing in 1986. Hunter Art Glass studio has been showcased in events and exhibits in San Diego, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Tempe, and Philadelphia, and is represented by multiple galleries nationwide.
