About the Item

Rise Vessel by Cal Summers Dimension: D 10 x H 9.5 cm Materials: Blackened Steel Cal Summers is a British designer who makes bespoke handmade furniture and contemporary artefacts in which he challenges the boundaries of materiality and form. Born in 1994, Cal grew up in the Kent countryside of South East England. Coming from a family of creatives, father being a still life photographer and mother an art director, he has been honing his skills in the creation of new shapes and ideas from an early age. After graduating in 2017 in 3D Design and Craft from the University of Brighton, Cal has been recognised internationally by top interior designers and architects, and is being represented by both designers and galleries in New York City. He currently lives and works in Montreal, where he creates his pieces with an unprecedented attention to detail and an exploration into new areas of design innovation.
