Royal Worcester Chinoiserie Vase

About the Item

This tall Royal Worcester porcelain vase features an unusual printed and hand enamelled Chinoiserie pattern. Although this piece isn't marked with the pattern number, the pattern is W9882. The shape number is 2510, which was introduced in 1910 and was listed as a spill vase that was offered in 3 sizes. This vase stands 227 mm (9 inches) high with a diameter at the base of 90 mm (3.5 inches). The enamel is still in very good condition and displays very nicely against the creamy white porcelain. It is in very good condition with only a few tiny scratches to the enamel on the rim, and two very small areas of discolouration on the reverse. The Worcester back stamp is very difficult to read, but it would date from 1912-15.
