About the Item

One of Japan's most recognised manufacturers of mid-century glass is Sanyu Glass (full name Sanyu Glass Factory Ltd), a company who produced an outstanding amount of art glass, based in Osaka, Japan. The company have been manufacturing glass from as early as the 1950s, prolific in the 1960s and 1970s with a fantastic range of vases, centrepieces and art pieces, found in a variety of styles. Those bound for the export market can predominantly be found with the Sanyu Glass branding (black on silver foil labels), while those found domestically in Japan are mostly seen with the Narumi Fantasy Glass branding (red and black on gold foil labels). THIS LISTING A gorgeous tall, ribbed vase from the company's 'Fantasy' line, produced under the Narumi branding. This particular piece includes orange and green through the clear glass. Series: Narumi 'Fantasy' Colours: Green, Orange Production: 1960s/70s Dimensions: 22.5cm (9") tall, 11.5cm diameter Condition: Excellent condition with no wear that we can see. Comes with its original vintage packaging.
