Scandinavian Modern Sommerso Glass Bud Vase Cranberry

About the Item

Scandinavian Mid Century Modern art glass bud vase is made in sommerso technique with cranberry red top and clear glass bottom. The vase is a part of the series designed by Josef Schott (1915 - 2009) for Smalandshyttan glassworks, that operated in Sweden between 1947 to 1976. Strombergshyttan often chose to only label their work and not sign it. The vase is unmarked, with the foil label missing, but the series is well known and multiple labelled examples can be found online.
