This stoneware vase has a a conic shape, typical of scandinavian modern design and and slender handle. The vase features an unglazed brown base, contrasting beautifully with an eggshell white glaze covering the upper three-quarters. The base is impressed with Aage Rasmus Selsbo's signature, with "Selsbo" written on the unglazed portion under the handle. ABOUT SELSBO KERAMIK 1957-1996 Aage Rasmus Selsbo, born in Denmark on April 8, 1926, worked at Tallhöjdens Stengods before establishing his own ceramics workshop, "Selsbo Keramik," at his home in Simlångsdalen. Initially, the workshop was small with a few employees, producing both functional and decorative items. Following Aage's death in 1996, production ceased, but the store continues to operate.
