About the Item

"In Stacy Solodkin's studio clay becomes a conversation. Each sculpture is a whispered dialogue between hand and earth, between silence and memory. Working primarily with porcelain and fiber she creates forms that seem to hover between fragility and resilience, like relics unearthed from another world or blooms suspended in time. Each sculpture is hand built, bespoke, intuitive, and deeply personal. Her forms are delicate yet deliberate, soft yet structured, timeless with curves of feminine energy. With layered textures, gentle folds and quiet imperfections her works don't shout-they invite." -ART BRIDGE MAGAZINE Represented currently by 3 galleries in LA & NYC. Stacy's work sold out her first three collections and is a collector's favorite. *Porcelain *Handbuilt, *Handwash, doesn't hold water, unglazed *each piece is unique because of their imperfections. cracks and folds are a part of what makes Stacy's work unique and special. "All imperfections"are displayed in the photos *Available for pick up *SHIPPING IS BY CRATE. Shipping quote may change.

Perry Haas is a ceramic artist making functional pottery and focusing on wood-firing techniques. Drawing from a love for the wood-fired ceramic surface, Perry looks to anticipate the manner in which ash in the kiln will collect in different arrays across the convex and concave surfaces of his gestural clay forms. “I approach making with a childlike spirit of experimentation and exploration. My work stems from a love of the wood fired ceramic surface, particularly how it evokes many beautiful natural phenomena. Like imagining the way wind gathers and deposits leaves on a landscape according to changes in topography, I anticipate the manner in which ash will collect differently on the convex and concave surfaces of my gestural forms. These functional pots are developed as a place for this surface to exist and to be enjoyed as a part of our daily life.”—Haas Contemporary Design, Ceramic Jar, Wood Fire Porcelain...
