Sculptural Art Deco Silver-Plated Pitcher, 1930s, Carl M. Cohr, Denmark This sculptural Art Deco silver-plated pitcher dates from the 1930s by Danish silversmith Carl M. Cohr. This handcrafted pitcher features a woven detail on the handle and elegantly curved, flowing forms, showcasing small, refined Art Deco details. Beautifully patinated, it has intentionally not been polished, making it ideal as a decorative object or as a vase. Please review all photos for patina and condition. The pitcher is stamped under the base with the maker’s mark and ALP. DANMARK ATLA, which indicates “Alpaca (nickel silver) made in Denmark by Carl M. Cohr”. Dimensions: Height (top of spout): 8.2 in (20.9 cm) Diameter at widest point: 4.25 in (10.8 cm) Diameter of base: 3.35 in (8.5 cm) About Carl M. Cohr Carl M. Cohr (1881–1950) was a prominent Danish silversmith known for his Art Deco silver and silver-plated designs. He ran his own workshop in Copenhagen, creating finely handcrafted decorative objects and functional tableware, often characterized by sculptural forms and meticulous attention to detail. His pieces are highly regarded for their elegance, quality craftsmanship, and distinctive Danish design sensibility
