COCHLEA DELLA METAMORFOSI N.1 is a handcrafted vase with borosilicate glass and stone. The stone is made sustainably using fragments of rocks from Tuscany and Veneto, from which the final color derives. Each piece is handcrafted and features an irregular surface with holes and jagged edges, with an organic and distinctive appearance. Ancient Roman techniques inspired this unique material, which contains no glue or cement. It is processed using solar heat without CO2 emissions, so the emissions due to borosilicate glass production are not increased. The external surface is treated with natural substances used since ancient times, which are absorbed by the material within 3-4 months, showing the final color of the product, slightly lighter than in the first days of treatment. Therefore, it is possible to notice a slight lightening of the stone if the piece is shipped immediately after its production, mainly in grey and orange versions. This pot includes three separate components to be assembled without permanent connections. The Cochleae vase collection is a unique blend of art and nature inspired by snails' life cycles. The design captures their growth, with the curved glass representing the invertebrate's body and the semi-circular stone components symbolizing the shell that embraces it. This vase is an actual work of magical inspiration, composed of two distinct materials that are not joined together. There are no permanent connections between different material elements. GLASS CLEANING AND CARE • Hand wash only • Clean the bottom of the vase by filling it with wine vinegar or citric acid and letting it sit for a whole day. Then, pour the vinegar/citric acid into a closed glass or plastic bottle and save it for subsequent use (do not throw the vinegar in the toilet or sink; it damages aquatic organisms). Rinse the vase with water and dry it with a soft cloth. STONE CLEANING AND CARE • Do not wash, do not wet • Clean the surface with a vacuum cleaner only • Cleaning brush and ecological handling gloves included
