About the Item

With a nod to the spontaneity and privileged imperfection that is the human condition, all of my pieces imbue an energy of function and whimsy. The Lunar Wave Vase is a coil built deep brown stoneware vessel is artfully layered with a deep sea green glaze, white slip and Moonscape glaze evoking a sense of movement and liquidity. The iron oxide wash compliments the vase’s voluptuous organic form inspiring a feel of ancient Grecian patina. The Lunar Wave lives as both a timeless decorative object as well as a functional vase, elevating a thorny branch or floral arrangement. This piece is intentionally both playful and sophisticated to fit seamlessly into a myriad of decor styles, including Mid Century Modern, Contemporary, Bohemian and Classical.
