About the Item
Signed Young & Constantin, a sophisticated Art glass studio fluted tallvase with Art Deco flair in blown glass, worked in sommerso, overlaid in glass. The organic minimalist fluted shape of the piece is accentuated by the overlay highlighting the floating colored drop and the circular inset cut decoration in the body adds to its statement of artistry.
A lovely artwork by artists Christopher Constantin and Kathleen Young from the 1980s. Young and Constantin were only able to work together for a brief period before Christopher passed away in 2001. Christopher had extensive experience in glass blowing in Murano with Lino Tagliapietra, while Kathleen was an artist with versatile studies in pottery, silversmithing, drawing, painting, photography, and glass blowing.
