Large vase in glazed stoneware.
Beautiful glaze in light brown tones and modern design, 1940s.
Measures: 41 x 9.5 cm.
In very good condition.
Stamped.
Suzanne Ramié (1905-1974) is best known as the founder of the Madoura Pottery studio in Vallauris, and the magnificent collaborations that they undertook with Pablo Picasso creating the wonderful and extensive oeuvre of Picasso ceramics.
Suzanne Ramie was one of the key figures of the potters city of Vallauris.
In 1938 Suzanne and her husband Georges Ramie moved to Vallauris and created the studio Madoura. Her ceramics were given pure lines and were highlighted by colorful glazed enamel.
