Tall Green 'A Scavo' Murano Glass Fluted Vase Attributed to Seguso Vetri d'Arte

About the Item

Tall fluted green 'a Scavo' glass vase or candlestick holder attributed to Seguso Vetri d'Arte Murano, Italy. Elegant in form and showing extraordinary craftmanship with the use of the 'Scavo' technique - a technique of rolling the glass, whilst in a semi-molten state, in several different powders which fuse on the surface of the glass giving it the look of archaeologically excavated glass. This piece can be used as a fluted vase or, when turned over, it can be used as a candlestick holder/candelabra.
