About the Item

Made in Italy, 1960s - 1970s. This wonderful piece is made in crackle lacquered ceramic, which is labelled on the bottom. It is a vintage piece, therefore it might show slight traces of use, but it can be considered as in excellent original condition and ready to become a piece in a home. Giacomo Onestini’s ceramics are characterized by a very high quality, which arises from a courageous search for new formal solutions and alchemical experimentation of mixtures and glazes. Born in Faenza, Onestini loved Cervia so much that he lived there for more than forty years until his death. In Cervia Terme he set up his shop and his ovens, but he always kept alive his curiosity for stylistic and technical experiments, even from beyond the Alps, and opened the doors of his laboratory to interesting collaborations. Among these, at the end of the sixties, the one with the “Ernestine” factory in Salerno, for which he signed a prestigious collection with a rationalist flavor, which included vases, pot holders, lamps, umbrella stands, flower boxes-sculptures. Measures: Width: 14 cm Depth: 12 cm Height 10 cm.
