About the Item
Stracciatella is the first object from the project Telluride, a big bowl create in Volcanic Porcelain. In 2021 the Stracciatella Big Bowls has been awarded the Officine Saffi Award.
The Volcanic Porcelain is special porcelain realised by Tellurico, which is composed of a very elastic ultra-white porcelain and Lava Stones gathered directly on the hills of the Phlegrean Fields, in South Italy. During the firing, the lava melts and it bursts through the porcelain creating this wonderful and unexpected texture. The two chemical structures, of the two materials, bond perfectly together creating an, even more, stronger porcelain. Even if a Limited Edition, thanks to the special firing process each piece is different from the other. A unique centrepiece for your house.

Tellurico
Tellurico is a multidisciplinary design studio specialised in objects, spaces and installations design, founded in 2017 by Francesco Pace. Tellurico's practice is mainly focused on pushing forward the boundary between art and design, using the combination of contemporary aesthetics with traditional craftsmanship. All the products presented on 1stDibs are limited editions or one-offs and they are the result of cutting-edge experimentation blended with high-end materials. n 2020 Tellurico has been nominated by Platform Magazine among the Best Italian Designers. In 2021 Tellurico won the prestigious Officine Saffi Awards with his project Telluride and in 2022 has been listed among the Next Pure Talent of 2022 by Elle Decor. So far, Tellurico’s works have been presented in many international venues such as the Biennale of Design in Venice, Van AbbeMuseum in Eindhoven, M.A.D.RE. in Naples, Triennale di Milano, Emma Scully Gallery in New York, Brohan Museum in Berlin, Dutch Design Week Beirut Design Fair, Italian Pavilion in Barcelona, Zoya Gallery in Bratislava and others. He receives commissions, both from private clients as well as international galleries, working closely with them. The Tellurico Design Studio is currently based in the Netherlands.
