Thomas Toft Vase, Ceramic, White, Brown, Abstract, Geometric, Signed. Large hand thrown pottery vase glazed in white over coarse matte brown raw clay. Decorated with a book matched geometric pattern on both sides of the vase. Incised signature and number to underside ‘TT Denmark 36K’. Toft.
Biography by Deirdre Jordan
Thomas Toft (1930-2015) established Tofts Keramiske Værkstedin in 1952 Bisserup near Skælskør on Zealand, Denmark. The studio was established in 1957 in Bisserup where he lived and worked for 50 years. His works are relatively rare but included vases, vessels, bowls, trays and some lamps.
