About the Item

A beautiful claritas vase designed by Timo Sarpaneva and manufactured by Iittala in Finland. Each piece of the Claritas series is unique and made without a mould, showcasing the pure talent of the Iittala glassblowers. The series came in many different shapes and sizes. The design is undeniably stunning, and looking at it from different angles gives you a different display. The item is in great condition without any flaws. signed "Timo Sarpaneva Iittala 2005". Timo Sarpaneva (1926-2006) was one of the most influential Finnish designers of his era. Mostly working with glass he is well known for his innovative style and beautiful art objects, that redefined the standard for Finnish art glass. Timo was known to work very closely with the glassblowers to ensure perfect results. He was one of the trailblazers who pushed Finnish design to it's worldwide recognition.
