About the Item
A striking postmodern glass vase designed by renowned Polish glass artist Jerzy Słuczan-Orkusz for Tarnowiec Glassworks in the early 1980s. This distinctive piece reinterprets the classical Grecian amphora form through a bold and minimalist postmodern lens.
Crafted in vibrant turquoise glass encased in clear crystal, the vase features a rounded, urn-like body and flared lip, complemented by two sculptural clear handles. Each handle curves gently and terminates in a graceful spiral, adding a subtle decorative flourish without overpowering the clean silhouette.
Measuring 28 cm in height and approximately 12 cm in diameter, the vase has excellent proportions, making it ideal as a standalone sculptural object or as a vessel for minimalist floral arrangements.
In very good vintage condition, with light signs of age and use.
A collectible and beautifully made piece of Eastern European postmodern glass design.
