The voluptuous Coyar Vase showcases the beauty of Colombian pottery and adds with its deep black shimmer an intense contrast to any room. Designer Cristina Celestion was inspired by Mucuras, the traditional ceramic vessel popular in Latin America, praising the shape of the female body. These were for example used as carafes and their origins can be traced back to pre-colonial times. The vases are also available with a hand-woven collar and come in four sizes.
Ames collaborates for the production of the Coyar vases with two family-owned businesses based in Tolima, a Colombian province that’s been a center for pottery making and ceramic production for over 300 years. Their workshops employ more than 70 people, many of them are family members, with specialists for each production stage – from clay digging to kiln firing to polishing. One of the few tools the makers use – most of the work is done by hand – is corn husks. Once water and clay have been mixed, the mixture is simply left to dry in the sun. This natural process requires stable weather conditions and air temperatures of more than 35 degrees Celsius. The dark glaze is applied to the vases before they go into a kiln that’s fired by wood. As the last step, the pieces are polished with semi-precious stones to create a subtle shimmer. The preparation of the clay alone takes ten days and it takes twelve more days until the vase is made.
Cristina Celestino is one of the most prolific contemporary Italian designers. Her products and interiors share a softness, often defined by curved lines, a love for pastel hues, and subtle links to Italy's rich design heritage. She graduated from the school of architecture at IUAV University of Venice in 2005 and started working as an interior and furniture designer.

Galerie Philia
Galerie Philia is an international contemporary sculptural design and art gallery representing emerging and established designers and artists. The gallery is the brainchild of two brothers who share a lifetime passion for art, literature and philosophy. Their distinct academic background sets them apart from their peers, as it sees them following a rhizomatic and transcultural approach in the way they select works. This involves combining elements from multiple cultures in what becomes a network of harmoniously interconnected roots, ultimately revealing the beauty of each unique creation. The gallery’s non-hierarchical curation sits apart from the ephemerality of trends and focuses instead on the true aesthetic quality of the piece – alluring and timeless. Unlike others, Galerie Philia does not focus on a single style – whether minimalist, organic or raw – but rather embraces heterogeneity. The Galerie Philia takes pride in discovering new talents, providing them with multiple international platforms to showcase their latest creations. As well as propelling the newest generation of 21st century collectible design, Galerie Philia also works with internationally known design artists. Galerie Philia has a strong international presence, with galleries in Geneva, New York and Singapore. In addition to their permanent spaces, the gallery organizes temporary group exhibitions and artists residencies in first-class locations around the world.

- Hestia Vase by ChaabanBy CHAABANLocated in Dubai, DU"Hestia" Vase - solid bronze vase with red / amber bronze patina - cast from solid Bronze, the "Hestia" Vase is a functional and sculptural work. Inspired by silhouettes found in nature, CHAABAN sought to create a line of unique bronzewares and premium home furnishings. Our collection has been hand-crafted with a specific focus on capturing the details seen in branches, trunks, and barks. Natural edges, grains, splits, and cracks are interpreted and preserved using traditional bronze casting methods, successfully blending art and function with the permanence of bronze. Introduced to the world of design in 2016, Brian Chaaban has spent the past few years curating a collection of premium bronzewares. Pulling inspiration from the natural beauty surrounding his hometown of Los Angeles, his self-titled collection “CHAABAN” focuses on forms, shapes, and details found in nature. “I have always been drawn to the outdoors– whether it be through hiking trails or swimming in the ocean, there is such an indescribably tranquil energy about our natural world.” – Brian Capturing and preserving this natural energy has been the ethos behind each piece in our bronze line, most of which begin from a hand-carved block of wood. Upon perfecting the original model, the piece finds its following form when cast in solid bronze, using a nearly 6000-year-old method known as lost wax casting. Once cast, we hand-patinate each piece until it is then ready to be released into the world for adornment. Artistic inspiration for the collection is drawn from the raw and brutalist styles of Paul Evans, and Harry Balmer as well as the modernism sculptures...Category
