Vase, Ceramic, Enamel Hand Painted, Attributable to Late Bauhaus, 1930, Germany
About the Item
Very special vase, made of ceramic with extraordinarily decorative painting, made by hand in enamel.
This style in Art Deco, the workmanship and the objects of comparison, for example in Weimar (the second location of the Bauhaus after Dessau) make this piece attributable. It must be a production around the 1930s.
The orange glazed ceramic is surrounded by a bright cuff at the top. This is designed in different colors in the dot décor and structured by further brushstrokes, which also merge into the slightly cambered body of the vase.
Measurements approx.: height 10,9 cm - 4,3 in, diameter 8,4 cm - 3,3 in
A particularly interesting object, which unfortunately does not have a Bauhaus stamp, but which fits perfectly into their object catalogue.
