About the Item
Large, French, St Louis Crystal ribbed glass vase decorated with a fine gold enamelled Convolvulus flower. The top with fine gilded feathering. The base of the vase with a gilded ring and a large stylised gilded convolvulus in deep relief decorating the whole body of the tapering ribbed vase. In exceptional condition with no chips or damage.

MAKER : Compagnie des Cristalleries de Saint-Louis
The Compagnie des Cristalleries de Saint-Louis was founded in 1586 in the valley of Münzthal in Moselle and is the oldest crystal maker in France. Producing the finest pieces of elite crystal for the table, arts, lighting and furniture, now owned by the Hermès group. The crystal is blown by the mouth, cut and decorated by hand by artists.
