About the Item
Le vase soliflore Denbac en céramique grès, emblématique du style Art déco des années 1920, témoigne de l'héritage de René Denert, qui fonde son atelier à Vierzon en 1908. Ce dernier, fort de l'activité céramique qui prospère dans la ville depuis le début du XIXe siècle, développe une entreprise qui évolue après l'arrivée de René Louis Balichon en 1910, pour devenir la société Denert et Balichon en 1921. La production de l'atelier se diversifie, offrant une large gamme de vases et d'objets décoratifs en grès sous la marque Denbac. Toutefois, après la mort de Denert en 1937, l'activité décline et, malgré une reprise timide après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, l'entreprise met un terme à sa production en 1952, laissant derrière elle un riche patrimoine céramique apprécié des collectionneurs.

The compensated shape of the vase shows an upper round outlet surrounded by three specially designed handles. The spherical ceramic body is vertically notched three times, which gives wonderful plasticity.
