He studied art at the Brooklyn Museum and later at the Temple University’s Tyler School of Fine Arts, where he received the BFA in 1966. He also attended the Tyler School of Fine Arts in Rome, where he earned the MFA award. He had more than 100 one-man shows in Europe and USA and in most of the prestigious art fairs in the world. He designed the 23 windows of the Synagogue Mechal David u-Mordechai in Milano. He designed for the Post Design collection the “Flip-Flop”. Post Design is a brand owned by Memphis Srl company. Memphis Milano brand was founded in 1981 by Ettore Sottsass and a group of designers and once ended in 1988, Memphis company decided not to use the same brand for future and new products. While Memphis Milano aimed at the expression of one single language, Post Design brand shows the personality of the single designers, even if many of them were belonging to Memphis Milano, but in a new and multilanguage key. What Sottsass and the other designers wanted to meet under the Post Design brand is a number of collections with its own style and life. It is an ambitious project of open investigation into the future, aimed at opening up new paths and recording changes in progress.
