1952 Bakelite and Chrome Ashtray From Chicago
About the Item
This Chicago-manufactured ashtray from 1952 is a fine piece for the Tobacco connoisseur. The tray is made from Bakelite and the goddess figure is chrome. The goddess is reminiscent of hood ornaments from classic cars of the 30s. She's situated directly in the center of this piece, nude, with her hair flowing back in the wind as she builds up speed. There are 9 holders along the edge of this piece for your cigarettes, cigarillos, or whatever else you may need this ashtray for. The dimensions of this ashtray are 7" inches Tall x 7" inches Wide. The dimensions of just the chrome goddess are 5" inches Tall x 3" inches Wide The bottom of the ashtray has an imprint that reads as follows: 980 STATUETTE HARRY DAVIES MOLDING CO. CHICAGO, ILL.
