About the Item

This magnificent glass product was designed by Hana Machovska as part of the Romana line for the Mstislav glass factory, a renowned Czech glassblower with a history dating back to the 16th century. The Mstislav factory became part of the Sklo Union when it was founded in 1948. The glass features a pink color on one side, a honey yellow in the middle, and a blue on the other side. It dates back to the 1950s and 1960s, and this series was considered to be the author's most significant design. It was described in Mark Hill's book, "Sklo: Czech Glass Design of the 1950s and 1970s." Vintage glass ashtray is in very good vintage condition.
