About the Item
I am offering for sale two twin objects of great charm and elegance in their simplicity.
A single material used, a splendid Nile green glass cut and bevelled following an essential and very elegant design.
Two blocks of glass measuring 12cm by 12cm, 2cm thick, cut and ground as if they were two diamonds.
The bevelled cuts made on these vintage ashtrays create splendid variations in colour by reflecting the light.
Depending on the light, they can dematerialise becoming almost transparent or accentuate their presence becoming an intense blue.
Made in Italy between the 1960s and 1970s, these splendid decorative objects have no label or signature that can ascertain their origin but the material used and the artisanal manufacturing allow us to attribute their production to the historic Italian manufacturer "Fontana Arte".
The items can be purchased separately, both do not have obvious defects such as breakages or chipping but only minimal and imperceptible signs of use and aging.
