A magnificent Russian carved and polished Jasper dish ashtray with a gilt panther and cigarette rests predating the Russian revolution, circa 1900. Stamped The Finest Jaspers in the world are found in Russia as is this particular shade of green

    Repaired: The panther has been reattached, restoration work carried out by Wartski of St James, London. Wear consistent with age and use. Small chip/loss of Jasper to the inside by the left had paw of the panther.
