Advertising Aluminum Ice Bucket Wine Cooler, France 1950s
About the Item
This is a stunning French modernist aluminum ice bucket or wine cooler crafted in the 1950s. Specially designed for tall Alsace white wine bottles, this bottle chiller will work with any other wine bottle. It was in use in restaurants in France in the 1950s. The wine cooler features red Bakelite handles and an advertising copper plaque with engraving on the front.
The plaque reads: Dopff Domaines Dopff - Clos du Moulin - Riquewihr - URBA. This ice bucket is a perfect barware accessory for fancy party entertainment.
The wine cooler is in good condition, there are some signs of light wear on the metal due to regular usage.
Measurements: 8.25 in diameter (21cm) - overall: 9.88 in wide (25 cm) x 8.25 in deep (21 cm) x 11 in high (28 cm).
